Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
Effective July 2, 2026
AI FLEX CHART IS AN EXPERIMENTAL PUBLIC BETA OPERATED AS AN INDEPENDENT PROJECT BY AN INDIVIDUAL IN NORWAY. BY CREATING AN ACCOUNT, USING THE SERVICE, OR USING CREDITS, YOU AGREE TO THE TERMS BELOW. THE PRIVACY POLICY EXPLAINS HOW PERSONAL DATA IS PROCESSED WHEN YOU USE THE SERVICE.
Terms of Service
1. What AI Flex Chart is
AI Flex Chart is an experimental public beta operated as an independent project by an individual in Norway. AI Flex Chart is the trading name of an independently operated software project and is not itself a separate legal entity. In these Terms, "we", "us", and "our" refer to the individual operator of the project.
These Terms apply to the AI Flex Chart website, account portal, Power BI custom visual, APIs, credits, generated visualizations, and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, using the Service, or using credits, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service for an organization, you confirm that you are allowed to do so for that organization.
2. Public beta
The Service is a beta product. It is provided so people can try it, test whether it is useful, and give feedback. It may change, break, return incorrect results, have limits, be unavailable, or be discontinued. We do not provide any service level agreement, guaranteed uptime, guaranteed support response time, or promise that the Service will remain available in its current form.
You should not rely on the Service as if it were a mature commercial product. Use it only if you accept the risk that beta software and AI-generated output can be wrong or fail.
3. Accounts, API keys, and credits
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to accept these Terms. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and AI Flex Chart API keys secure. Do not share your account or API keys outside your own personal or authorized organizational use.
Because the Service is a beta project, we may delete inactive beta accounts after 12 months of no sign-in, API use, or generation activity, with reasonable notice where practicable. This does not limit our ability to retain records where needed for legal, security, accounting, dispute, or fraud-prevention reasons.
The Service may include free or paid credits. A credit is a limited right to submit an eligible generation request. Credits have no cash value, cannot be resold, and can only be used with the Service. We may correct credit balances affected by error, abuse, fraud, failed payment, chargeback, or duplicate processing.
If paid credits are offered, prices and payment details will be shown before checkout. Payments may be handled by a third-party payment provider. Mandatory consumer rights, including refund or withdrawal rights that apply by law, are not limited by these Terms.
4. Your responsibility for prompts, data, and use
You are responsible for the prompts, field names, table names, measures, metadata, labels, images, and other material you provide through the Service ("User Content"). You must have the rights and permissions needed to use that User Content with the Service.
The Service is designed to process prompts and dataset metadata, not raw row-level Power BI data. Actual report data is intended to remain inside Power BI during normal use. However, anything you type into a prompt or include in field names, table names, labels, measures, metadata, screenshots, or support messages may be processed by the Service and its providers.
Do not submit passwords, secrets, payment-card data, government identifiers, health information, special-category personal data, confidential personal records, or other sensitive information unless we have expressly agreed in writing that the Service supports that use.
5. AI-generated outputs
The Service uses AI to generate visualization behavior and output. AI-generated output may be inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, insecure, biased, unsuitable, or similar to output generated for others. We do not guarantee that generated output is correct, unique, safe, compliant, or free from third-party rights.
You are responsible for reviewing and testing every output before relying on it, including:
- checking calculations, labels, scales, filters, and legends;
- checking that the visualization communicates the right message;
- checking whether the output is appropriate for your audience and use case;
- keeping backups of your reports and data; and
- following your own legal, workplace, security, privacy, and Power BI obligations.
The Service does not provide legal, medical, financial, accounting, statistical, compliance, security, or other professional advice. Do not use the Service as the sole basis for decisions that may significantly affect a person or business.
6. Acceptable use
You must not use the Service to:
- break the law or violate another person's rights;
- use the Service if prohibited by applicable export control, sanctions, or trade-control laws;
- submit material you are not allowed to use;
- process sensitive information in a way the Service is not designed to support;
- attack, probe, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, or disrupt the Service;
- share, sell, or publish API keys or try to bypass usage limits;
- introduce malware or use generated code to compromise another system;
- misrepresent AI-generated output as guaranteed, verified, or approved by us; or
- use the Service for unlawful, deceptive, discriminatory, abusive, or harmful activity.
7. Ownership
You keep your rights in your reports, datasets, and User Content. You allow us to process User Content only as needed to provide, secure, troubleshoot, maintain, and improve the Service; comply with law; and enforce these Terms.
Subject to these Terms and applicable law, as between you and us, you own any rights you may have in generated output. This does not give you rights in the Service itself, our branding, our backend systems, or third-party materials.
We and our licensors keep all rights in the Service, including software, branding, website content, interfaces, prompts, and backend systems. Subject to these Terms, you may use the Service for your own personal or internal business purposes. Microsoft and Power BI are trademarks of Microsoft Corporation. AI Flex Chart is not endorsed by Microsoft unless expressly stated.
8. Third-party services
The Service depends on third-party providers, including AI providers, hosting, email, abuse-prevention, Microsoft Power BI, and payment providers. Third-party services may change, fail, or become unavailable. We are not responsible for third-party systems outside our reasonable control, except where the law says otherwise.
We do not control how third-party providers operate their services or retain data under their own policies, except to the extent governed by our agreements with them and applicable law.
9. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. You may request account deletion by contacting us. We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access if we reasonably believe it is necessary because of security risk, abuse, fraud, non-payment, chargebacks, legal requirements, third-party requirements, or breach of these Terms.
10. Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including internet outages, cloud-provider failures, AI-provider failures, power or network failures, natural disasters, government action, war, civil unrest, labor disputes, or similar events.
11. No warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service and AI-generated outputs are provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, accurate, compliant, or suitable for any particular purpose. We disclaim warranties that may otherwise be implied by law to the extent the law allows.
Nothing in these Terms removes warranties, guarantees, remedies, or other rights that cannot legally be excluded, especially mandatory consumer and data-protection rights.
12. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or mandatory consumer and data-protection liability.
If you use the Service for business purposes, then to the maximum extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive losses, including lost profits, lost revenue, business interruption, loss of goodwill, or loss of data. Our total liability related to the Service will not exceed the greater of EUR 100 or the amount you paid for the Service during the six months before the event giving rise to the claim.
If you are a consumer, our liability is limited only to the extent permitted by mandatory law. We are not responsible for loss caused by your misuse of the Service, failure to review AI-generated output, unauthorized User Content, or events outside our reasonable control.
13. Business-user indemnity
If you use the Service for business purposes, you agree to defend and indemnify us against third-party claims, damages, and reasonable legal costs arising from your unlawful User Content, infringement of third-party rights, breach of these Terms, or unlawful use of the Service or output. This section does not apply to consumers acting outside a trade or profession.
14. Intellectual property complaints
If you believe that content or output made available through the Service infringes your copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights, contact us at admin@aiflexchart.com with enough information to identify the rights, the material, and how to contact you. We may remove or restrict access to material where we reasonably believe it is necessary or appropriate.
15. Changes and future operator
We may update these Terms when the Service, providers, legal requirements, or business model change. If changes are material, we will provide notice where reasonably practicable. If you continue using the Service after updated Terms take effect, the updated Terms apply.
If the project is later transferred to a registered business, company, or other successor operator, we may assign these Terms to that operator and will identify the new operator before or when the transfer takes effect.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by Norwegian law, without removing mandatory rights you may have under the law of your country of residence. Before starting a formal claim, both sides should first try to resolve the issue by email and allow at least 30 days for a response.
For business users, the courts of Oslo, Norway have exclusive jurisdiction. For consumers, this applies only to the extent allowed by mandatory consumer law.
17. Contact
Questions, complaints, deletion requests, and legal notices may be sent to admin@aiflexchart.com.
Privacy Policy
1. Who operates the Service
AI Flex Chart is an experimental public beta operated as an independent project by an individual in Norway. AI Flex Chart is the trading name of an independently operated software project and is not itself a separate legal entity.
For privacy questions or requests, contact admin@aiflexchart.com. In this Policy, "we", "us", and "our" refer to the individual operator of the project.
2. What this Policy covers
This Policy explains how personal data is processed when you visit the website, create an account, use the Power BI visual or API, use credits, contact us, or otherwise interact with the Service.
If you use the Service for an organization, that organization may have its own privacy and security obligations. You are responsible for making sure your use of the Service is allowed by that organization and by applicable law.
3. Data we process
3.1 Account data
We process account information such as name, email address, password hash, email-verification status, account status, account creation time, login sessions, and security events such as failed login attempts. We do not store your plaintext password.
3.2 AI Flex Chart API keys
AI Flex Chart API keys are shown once and then stored as cryptographic hashes. We process key names, identifiers, creation times, last-used times, and active status so the Service can authenticate requests.
We do not ask for or store your third-party AI-provider API keys. AI generation uses credentials controlled by the Service operator.
3.3 Prompts and metadata
To generate a visualization, the Service processes your prompt and dataset metadata. Metadata may include field names, table names, measure names, data types, row counts, labels, and similar schema information.
The Service is designed so raw row-level Power BI data remains inside Power BI during normal use. However, anything included in prompts, field names, table names, labels, measures, metadata, screenshots, or support messages may be processed by the Service and its providers.
3.4 Usage, security, and technical data
We process technical and usage data such as request times, generation outcomes, model and token usage, credit activity, API-key usage, IP address, browser or device information available in ordinary web requests, error information, performance metrics, and security events.
We configure application logs not to intentionally record prompts, metadata payloads, generated code, full payment-provider responses, API keys, passwords, or email message bodies.
3.5 Payments
If paid features are offered, payment-card and billing details are handled by a payment provider. We receive limited transaction information such as payment status, product or credit pack, amount, currency, order identifier, dates, and refund or chargeback status. We do not receive or store complete payment-card details.
3.6 Communications
If you contact us, we process your email address, message, attachments or other information you provide, and our response. We also process delivery information for account verification, password reset, security, transactional, and support emails.
4. Why we process data
We process data to:
- create and manage accounts;
- authenticate users and API requests;
- generate visualizations and provide the Service;
- administer credits, payments, refunds, and chargebacks where applicable;
- send account, security, transactional, and support messages;
- secure the Service and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access;
- debug errors, measure reliability, and improve the beta Service;
- comply with legal obligations; and
- establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Where GDPR applies, the legal bases may include contract performance, legitimate interests, legal obligations, and consent where required for optional communications or optional non-essential technologies.
5. AI processing
Prompts and metadata are sent to an AI provider to generate visualization behavior. At the effective date of this Policy, AI generation is provided using the OpenAI API or other providers we may introduce in the future. Provider practices may change, and we will update this Policy if a material provider change affects how personal data is processed.
The Service generates visualizations. It does not make decisions about you that are intended to produce legal or similarly significant effects. Users must not use generated output as the sole basis for such decisions.
6. Who data is shared with
We do not sell personal data. We share data only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the Service, including with:
- AI providers that process prompts and metadata for generation;
- hosting, database, backup, monitoring, and security providers;
- email providers that send transactional and support emails;
- Cloudflare Turnstile or similar abuse-prevention providers;
- payment providers if paid features are offered;
- Microsoft Power BI or related platform services used by you;
- professional advisers, authorities, or courts where necessary; and
- a future registered business, company, or successor operator if the project is transferred.
7. International transfers
Some providers may process data outside Norway or the EEA, including in the United States. Where GDPR transfer rules apply, we rely on appropriate legal mechanisms such as adequacy decisions, Standard Contractual Clauses, or another lawful transfer mechanism.
8. Retention
We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes in this Policy, unless a longer period is required for legal, accounting, security, dispute, or fraud-prevention reasons.
- Account data is kept while your account is active and then deleted or anonymized after a verified deletion request, except data we must keep.
- AI Flex Chart API-key records are kept until you delete them or your account is deleted; hashed records may remain in backups for a limited period.
- Generation and usage records may be kept for billing, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, reliability, and beta improvement.
- Prompts and metadata are not intentionally stored in our application database after normal processing, but third-party AI providers may retain data according to their own API policies. We do not control how third-party providers retain data under those policies.
- Security and application logs are normally kept for a limited period unless needed for an incident, dispute, or legal claim.
- Support messages are kept while needed to handle the request and for a reasonable period afterwards.
- Payment, credit, tax, and accounting records are kept as required by applicable law and payment-provider rules.
- Deleted data may remain in protected backups for a limited period until backups rotate out.
9. Cookies and similar technologies
The website uses only essential cookies and similar technologies needed to provide the account service. These may include login/session cookies, remember-me cookies if you choose that option, anti-forgery cookies, security cookies, and abuse-prevention checks.
These essential cookies are required for the service to work and are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. Authentication cookies may remain for up to 30 days, with renewal during active use.
We do not currently use optional analytics cookies, advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or similar non-essential technologies. If non-essential technologies are introduced, we will provide required information and obtain consent where applicable before using them.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures for a beta project, including transport encryption, password hashing, API-key hashing, anti-forgery controls, role-based administration, payment-signature validation where applicable, and access restrictions. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for securing your own account, devices, Power BI environment, reports, data, and copies of API keys.
11. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal data. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent. You may also have the right to complain to a data-protection authority.
Send privacy requests to admin@aiflexchart.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Where GDPR applies, we normally respond within one month.
If you are in the EEA, you may contact the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet) or your local supervisory authority.
12. Children
The Service is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly allow children to create accounts. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal data.
13. Changes and future operator
We may update this Policy as the beta Service, providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the new effective date and provide additional notice where required.
If the project is later transferred to a registered business, company, or other successor operator, that operator may become responsible for the Service and related personal data. We will identify the new operator before or when the transfer takes effect.
14. Contact
Privacy questions and requests may be sent to admin@aiflexchart.com.
